2014 Maintenance Week

The workers

We are very pleased to have had so many guest to stay over the year but naturally this causes some wear and tear. We just spent a few days repairing things and tidying them up. In the attached picture you can see the team painting the fences with preservative. The salt from the sea is so corrosive that anything not protected rots very quickly. We have also had the boiler serviced, all of the appliances PAT tested, touched up paintwork, repaired some sticking windows and generally sorted things.

Overall the house seems to be in very good condition and we appreciate the care our guests have taken whilst using it this year.

Port Isaac is getting very quiet now as the season draws to a close, however, there is still plenty to do. Over the visit we went to Cardinham woods and did some walking and we had a very nice meal out in the Port William pub in Trebarwith Strand looking out over the raging Atlantic on a cold and wet afternoon.
